OLAHPOSHTEL Taichung creates a daily nurturing exhibition plan

To deepen local experiences and promote the co-existence of urban and community culture, OLAH Poshtel this year focuses on the cultural context of the old city development in Taichung and the connection with local brands. In the first quarter, it collaborates with the local organization "Green Light + marüte," which is dedicated to Taiwan-Japan art exchange, to curate a cross-disciplinary exhibition. Utilizing the OLAH Café on the first floor and the shared space on the second basement level, it launches the "Daily Cultivation Exhibition Project" from January 14 to March 31, inviting two popular contemporary Japanese illustrators, oshow and Teraoka Natsumi, to showcase their works in Taiwan. During this period, there will also be exclusive accommodation packages and new beverages at OLAH Café, allowing travelers to closely appreciate the illustrations created by these two emerging artists with their unique brushstrokes.
OLAHPoshtel in Taichung will launch the first wave of the collaboration "Daily Cultivation × oshow" accommodation project from January 14 to February 24. During the stay, guests can enjoy Japanese roasted tea/matcha series drinks selected from a century-old tea garden in Uji, Kyoto, as well as a Japanese afternoon tea set featuring dorayaki from Hoshino Confectionery in Taichung. Guests will also receive a limited edition postcard set from the artist oshow. Weekday double rooms start from 2,600 TWD.

Taichung's century-old elegance and cultural characteristics
OLAHPOSHTEL in Taichung continued its collaboration last year with the century-old Central Bookstore in Taichung and the Japanese-style restaurant Nanyuan to plan multiple food and lifestyle travel routes, integrating the topic of border opening, which quickly attracted international free independent travelers from countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and Europe and America. This year, the annual theme is "Evolution of the Old City," reinterpreting the century-old charm and cultural characteristics of Taichung's central city from diverse perspectives, including Japanese culture, Taiwanese aesthetics, and the lives of new residents.

Deeply explore the connection between travel and life.
Green Light + marüte plans different exhibitions featuring Japanese artists each month, maintaining a long-term and profound connection with Taiwanese and Japanese artists. At the beginning of the new year, they specially invited two artists whose works are extremely popular among the young crowd in Japan to showcase their works for the first time at OLAH Poshtel in Taichung, leading travelers to explore the unique experience of travel as life through the hotel.
